Pine Creek Outfitters is located 11 miles west of Wellsboro on US Route 6 along Pine Creek at the entrance to the PA Grand Canyon, 1 mile from the Rail Trail and the north end of the WRT. Our base has on-site launching of boats and is conveniently located for nearby access to hiking trails. We sell hiking maps and trail-guides and our staff is very knowledgeable about the area. We are 3/4 mile west of the Ansonia bridge . Look for our red canoes and rough-cut building. |

Pine Creek Outfitters is located in Ansonia. Most people want to “go through the Canyon,” a 17-mile stretch by bike or watercraft from Ansonia to Blackwell. However, Ansonia to Blackwell is much longer by car: 32 miles (one-way) and a 1.5 hour round trip, because there are no roads near the 17-mile PA Grand Canyon. That is great if you are looking to escape from society, but can be a hassle logistically as seen below.
Doing your own shuttle can be time-consuming and can cost you a good bit in gas money (travelling the same distance twice with multiple vehicles). Public parking at the access areas can also be an issue, especially on busy weekends. PCO has abundant free parking for customers. |

PLEASE NOTE: although our shuttle services are available year-round, we have a limited number of vans & drivers. To best serve you we need to know you are coming, especially on weekdays. Please call us a few days in advance at (570)-724-3003 or e-mail us to let us know you will need a shuttle.
Pine Creek Outfitters also offers vehicle shuttles. If you give us a set of keys to your vehicle, we can take it to your end point so that it is waiting for you when you are done. This can be a more convenient way to end your trip, especially if you are going overnight and/or are unsure when you will finish. We cannot guarantee exact drop-off times for same-day vehicle shuttles.
