“Upper Pine” Creek
Float down the beautiful stretch of Pine Creek known as “Upper Pine” to Pine Creek Outfitters.
The “Upper Pine” is a mild, scenic section of Pine Creek that flows West to East towards the North end of the Canyon. This meandering journey boasts sights equal to the beauty of the Canyon and offers a very unique experience. Look forward to a relaxing float with visuals including jagged cliffs, several small waterfalls (in Spring), impressive creek-side properties, and abundant wildlife/birding.
This trip includes Class I-II rapids (depending on water level) and beautiful scenery. Allow yourself to relax knowing all the logistics are handled and focus on having a memorable experience with your family and friends on the Upper Pine.
Trip choices on the Upper Pine include:
Rexford (5 miles, 1-2 hrs)
Watrous: (10 miles, 3-4 hrs)
Galeton: (13 miles, 4-5 hrs)
PA Grand Canyon
If you have whitewater ability, experience the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon in the truest form: Floating Pine Creek from Pine Creek Outfitters.
Navigate the rapids from Pine Creek Outfitters through a 17-mile adventure through the most remote section of the Pine Creek Gorge, known as the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Look forward to observing beautiful landscape features and abundant wildlife as you float your way into a glacier carved gorge that has left only whispers of its creation.
This trip includes Class I-III rapids (depending on water level) and canyon wall waterfalls. The halfway point is at Tiaghdaton Campground which has picnic tables and facilities.
Upper Pine Guided Kayaking
A guided float down the beautiful stretch of Pine Creek known as “Upper Pine”. This trip is perfect for groups looking for a mid-day adventure and beginners looking to learn the basics. No experience required. Beginners are encouraged. Recommended age: 12+
